SharePoint 3.0 Blogs

I want content providers to be able to use Contribute CS3 to connect to a blog on an internal SharePoint 3.0 site. I can find nothing in the documentation either for or against. Does anyone know if this is possible? The challenge I have is identifying the Access Point, since SharePoint works off my Windows network log in.

Any useful advice, input, ideas?
