include a subfolder in folder placement rules

What I'd like to do is set the administrative settings within Contribute CS5 (ps... we connect to CONTRIBUTE PUBLISHING SERVER as well...) such that files of a certain type are placed within a SUBFOLDER next to webpage...

so for example... if i'm editting the file /index.cfm and  I insert an image using contribute, the image would be placed in "components/images/".

Anytime i try to add a slash to the FILE PLACEMENT RULE dialogue box

I get the following error:

errormsg.jpg

"you entered a folder name that contains invalid, accented, or double-byte characters. Contribute will remove these characters from the folder name"

and then the slash is removed. I know it is possible to add a slash here, because the previous administrator had our site set up this way.

when you EDIT ROLE SETTINGS, click on FILE PLACEMENT, then click IMAGES, then click EDIT. On the FILE PLACEMENT RULE box, click FOLDER NEXT TO EACH WEBPAGE and try to enter 'components/images' (without quotes). After entering this, you should receive the error message identified above: "you entered a folder name that contains invalid, accented, or double-byte characters. Contribute will remove these characters from the folder name"

here is proof that these settings used  to work:

any idea how i can accomplish this?
