I have staff and faulty using Contribute 5 for Windows, and when they edit a web page that is using a Dreamweaver template, it adds <p style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0;"> </p> above the Navigation - between two divs. The Navigation is using Spry Widgets and the templates were created in CS4 - I think.
I have turned on Administering the website and using roles and changing the One Line vs Two Lines setting (the setting for P tags). I set it to two lines as suggested by something I read here on the forum, the P tag is still inserted where it should be - a non-editable region of the web page - the navigation, but the issues isn't as bad - meaning the Navigation isn't broken, the layout is off due to the P tag being added where it shouldn't.
When I turn off Administering of the website, the problem is worst - the P tag is still inserted and the Navigation is broken (spry widgets) - the navigation stays open.
I'm the webmaster for the College of Business Administration at UT. We are using Contribute for our stafff and faulty. We really need to resolve this issue.
I"m able to use Contribute on the website and not break it. I normally use Dreamweaver since I'm the developer, but I have been doing some testing and I have found that I can update the website using the Contriube CS5 that is installed on my PC, and everything works fine. I have full rights on our webserver. Could it be a permissions issue?
Thanks,
Kay
