Contribute 3 error message, "You can't edit this page now
because you are already editing it on another computer. Click here
to make this page editable."
This error happens to users who Edit a page, then Publish or Cancel. When admins click "here" to make the page editable, they are prompted with another error: "Access denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem."
Based on my online searching, here is what I have tried:
1) Delete all .lck files
2) Rename the _mm directory and have contribute re-create a new one.
Neither has helped and I have spent the better part of two days trying to figure this one out. It's very frustrating![]()

P.S. The error message tends to go away after 5 minutes or so (some type of timeout, perhaps?). At that time, the user can go back in and make another edit.
