PROBLEM
When my client tries to publish (CS4 on Mac OS 10) .. he's getting an error message similar to "The draft is invalid."/ "The draft is invalid because the lock has been broken" The next message asks, "Do you want to break the lock?" giving the option of Yes or No. Selecting "Yes"... forces him to save the draft to his computer.
SOLUTION ATTEMPTS
In an attempt to troubleshoot, I've sent him a new connection string... no change. I've also reset the site to allow for older versions of Contribute (Administer Website | Compatibility | Transition Mode) -- just a guess, since he used to have CS3 (yes.. we've removed that best we could...).
SLOW!
Another complaint... HUGELY SLOW! yet he says CS3 was not slow. There are other topics addressing this issue, however. Search the forum for "beach ball" which is the Mac equivalent to the hourglass.
