How compatible is Contribute CS5 with ASP.NET 3.5/4.0

I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to have a .NET site and be able to set it up so the end user can edit content using Contribute.  Currently they use it on a PHP site, but they are going through a complete redesign and it will be built in .NET. So, is it possible? It not, why?  And if it can, how different is it then PHP?
