using max-device-width for mobile interfers with editing in Contribute

Hi Everyone,

The following line gets recognized and implemented by Contribute ...?

<link href="../handheld.css"  rel="stylesheet"  type="text/css "media="handheld, screen and (max-width: 480px), screen and (max-device-width: 480px)"/>

It's used to load a stylesheet that makes sites a little friendlier for iphones and devices which actually recognize "handheld"... it hides the third column in three column formats (among other things which make the site friendlier to use on an iphone)....

and it works great Unless the client wants to edit the site in Contribute... and in that case, Contribute must consider that it has a max-width of 480 or a max-device-with of 480 because the 3rd column isn't visible and thus can't be edited by the client.  Unfortunately this column is where a lot of "notices" or announcements are put ...

Help -- is there a way to modify this or an additional line I can use so that Contribute will use the screen stylesheet?

Thanks!

Diane
