How to launch Media Encoder on selected cores ?

I have been trying to setup Adobe Media Encoder to run on a selected number of cores (instead of all cores) in order to free up some resources. I succeeded in getting the standalone program to run on 7/8 cores via the command line. The problem im having is getting it to launch on X cores automatically when it launches via Premiere and After Effects.

Those packages must launch Media Encoder via come kind of link or shortcut; all i need to do is relink them to my amended shortcut with the command line arguments in place.

Any ideas?
