Contibute absolute/relative links -Broken links and page wont render

When I edit a page from the root level of my site for review in Contribute the page is created in a temporary folder within my site and so by placing the file from the root directory in a folder all of the include links break.

for example in the good file the link would be <img src="images/....>

when the new file is created for review the new file is created inside a folder named something like default_cfm_MMtmp50a31b4a.

So when the file is sent for review none of the links show up because the <img src="images/....> is pointing to the wrong place

2 Questions .

1.Why does Contribute need to create the file in a directory?....

Couldn't the temporary file just be created in the same level as orginial file. Thus the links wouldnt break.

Or

2.When the temporary file is created in the temporary folder ...use absolute links instead of relative.

Anybody know?
