Hi. How do I edit the image title tag in Contribute?
When I choose image properties I'm only able to edit the alt tag which is, of course, useless for Firefox users.
Hope someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Contribute CS3 - Connection Settings Lost?
Hi,
One of our clients access Adobe Contribute CS3 via a Terminal Server and has recently started having problems where the connection settings for the websites she manages are randomly disapearing.
We've provided her a script in the mean time that she can run whenever it happens to put the connections back in, but would like to find out exactly why this is happening.
We use roaming profiles so was wondering if it could be linked to the location where it stores the connection information... however no Adobe articles provide this.
Has anyone else had this in the past, or able to provide information on where this data is stored?

You Cannot Perform this Action in this Region of the Page
I have been using Contribute for a few months - my web person designed our web in Dreamweaver, using a template she customized. I am using Firefox, if that matters. I have the Administrator role.
About a month ago I had trouble deleting a table - and received the error message You Cannot perform this action ... etc. NOW, I can't do anything having to do with inserting html snippet, or inserting a table, or a paypal button. I am trying to update pricing on our products page.

Script Error Message When Browsing Pages With Contribute
My client is getting the following message when browsing their site .
The site has been functioning for many years and has just started to show this message today (see attached screen shot below), an error has occurred in the script on this page.
As far as I can tell the site has not been modified in any way in recent days and there is no mention of 'MM_swapimage' in the code at the location referenced in the message.

Macromedia Contribute 3 Error
Hey,
We have a user getting the following error when opening any Office 2003 app.
Error 1706. No valid source could be found for product Macromedia Contribute 3. The Windows Installer cannot continue.
She says it just started a couple of days ago.
Any help with this would be appreciated.

Can't Connect to Blogger
I just purchased Contribute 4. I have Dreamweaver 8 and am
using Windows XP. I have been trying to connect to Blogger for 2
days. I know they were down some yesterday for maintenance. But I
can get into my blogs on Blogger without any trouble if I go
through Blogger but I get the same error message everytime I try it
in Contribute.
Contribute could not connect because a server is down or not accepting connections. Please contact your administrator
I see in the Connection Wizard that the access point to Blogger is http://www.blogger.com/atom. I don't think that is correct anymore because if you go to the Blogger Dashboard and try that path you get and error. I tried choosing "other blog servers" and entered the access point as /home and /start instead of /atom but I get the same message everytime.
Please help...

Help! Contribute CS3 will not open after upgrading to Mountain Lion 10.8
Help! Contribute CS3 worked perfectly under Lion, but it does not even open under 10.8, Mountain Lion. The error I receive is: “No Document Types have been found. The application will exit now.” And, then the application quits.
I also have Dreamweaver CS6, PhotoShop CS3, Flash CS3 Pro, Illustrator CS3, and Acrobat 8 Pro. They are all working fine. I am running 10.8.1 on an iMac 27″ Quad core i7.

Custom CSS styles not displaying in Contribute CS4
I am setting up a Contribute site with aspx pages using includes for shared elements and converted into templates using Dreamweaver. When i try to set up a specific stylesheet, or any stylesheet to be populated in Edit view via the Role settings, it doesn't render a thing in the drop downs. Note that when i edit these pages i am not seeing any styles imported period. When i browse in Contribute I see the styles render correctly, but when in I am in Edit mode i do not, so i am not sure if this is the root of my problem. However, i assume contribute would be able to still get the path of the external css file i am pointing to via th Roles > styles settings and at least populate that drop down with available styles. Can someone tell me why this might not be working? thanks!

Need a new CMS Program, sorry Adobe
Folks, I've had it with adobe and contribute. I need another program I can actually use (when I need it) to edit my website.
Is Dreamweaver similar to Contrib (no big learning curve for me)? Are there as many unhappy customers as with Contrib?

Why I've had it- I've been working with adobe cust support on my most recent case (can't connect, and can't Edit My Connections, so can't work on my website) now since Feb. 15. They even bumped it up to senior level. Then yesterday I receive their latest response,
"I would like to inform you to follow the complete article below which
will help you to change the webhost username and password in contribute.
This is a third party link which is not tested and certified by adobe
but it might help you in resolving your concern. "

Contribute3.msi trying to install every time I right click
The installer keeps trying to install this file, and says it
can't be found. Browsing doesn't work either. It just started
happening and it's very irritating - I can't find a way to fix it
permanently. I am running Windows XP and IE 7. Anyone had this
problem or know how to fix it?

How to remove the toolbar from Excel / Office
I will never need to use Contribute in any Office App. I want
to remove the toolbar from Excel, at the moment. I have tried every
way conceivable to get rid of the toolbar yet it comes back when I
restart Excel. What do I need to do to make it go away for ever? It
shouldn't be this hard! I have unchecked its toolbar box 20 times,
yet it comes right back...

Template problem
I am new to contribute and have been trying to access a template I created in dreamweaver but when I select new in contribute there is nothing in the templates folder.
I have checked that the template file has been uploaded to the remote server, and it has.
I am probably doing something basically wrong but don't know what!
If any one could help in anyway it would very much appreciated.

Contribute cannot verify your connection information
What does this error message mean? It tells me to contact the
administrator; however, I am the administrator. What information
should I know? I've already tried to remove the _mm folder as
suggested in another thread, but that did not work. I can transfer
files with another SFTP client so I'm fairly certain that it's not
a permission issue. The server is running Redhat Linux, and
Contribute is connecting using SFTP.
I've already had to put in a special firewall ruleset to allow the the client to connect (even though other clients did not have any issues). How many connections does Contribute need to make during the login sequence? The more I test this client, the less suitable it looks. Is there anyone out there who has run into these issues?

Contribute is auto creating drafts for every file in the entire site
I'm having a serious problem with one of my users (and
actually, now on my computer) for one specific site she works on.
Every time she goes to edit a page, then clicks the Publish button
(and she is clicking publish, not send for review), she gets a pile
of windows popping up telling her "The server already has a file
named blah.blah What would you like to do?" The options are to
replace it with her version or to publish with a similar file name.
It asks this same question for every file that has any sort of link
on the page you're publishing, every image file, every .css, every
html or cfm file that has a link on that page. On -my- machine,
just a short bit ago, it started asking me this question for EVERY
SINGLE FILE IN THE WEBSITE, not just ones that were somehow
attached to the file I was publishing.
If we manage to get through all these file replacement questions so that the page actually publishes, suddenly every file we got asked about has been opened as a draft in Contribute, and shows up in the draft console. Now, in my contribute, we're talking about hundreds of files. All of them have to be cancelled out manually, and it takes upwards of two full minutes for each cancellation to happen.
This particular connection never used to do this. It was created initially well over a year ago, and worked just fine until we got a new computer for our employee, and that required a fresh install of Contribute. After that was installed, we used the same connection key that we'd created over a year go to recreate the connection, and this is what started happening.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling her entire system from a fresh image, with a totally fresh Contribute installation. I've recreated the key (with the effect that this now does the same thing on MY computer, where it wasn't doing that before) because the connection key got munged because I'd tried going in to the _mm directory and removing locks, etc. to try and free up all those files and get rid of all the drafts (clearly I munged something up in the process).
This has an employee whose entire job centers around editing a very busy web site completely dead in the water and I'm finding nothing in the knowlegebase that touches on this behaviour at all. I'm completely stumped.
We have other websites in other offices using Contribute with other connection keys and other computers that are not having this problem on their sites.
Please, oh please, someone tell me you know what to do here. :)

Internet Explorer Script Error - an error has occurred in the script on this page.
I am using Adobe Contribute CS4, version 4.1 and have the following error message when trying to administer a website of a new client.

As this is the only website I am seeing this error message, I am wondering if indeed there is a problem with the scripts on the page. Does anyone know how to fix this scripting problem?

Customer Support does not exist at Adobe
UK customer support does not exists in the UK for Adobe.
I have been calling for 4 days. Yesterday I waiting with music on the Customer Support line for 1hr 20mins with music.
I have called the sales line 4 times and can get through within 2 rings. Adobe this is terrible.
I then log a call online and I just have pending - waiting verification. I have now also tried the online support "chat" only to get a message that it is not available. Come on Adobe this is awful, it 10:30 on a Friday - why no support al all.

Cannot unlock file used by Contribute/Dreamweaver
Hello all,
Trying to find a solution to this very annoying problem. I have a file that was sent to me for review and, because of something about our setup, I was not able to publish directly from Contribute. Rather, I copied the code and pasted into the file, then uploaded through DW. File is up there, no problem viewing it, but when the owner tried to edit, they found that it could not be edited because "This file is being reviewd by others and owned by "Macromedia Contribute".
So I went on to the server, made a copy of the file, deleted it and then moved the copy back to the original name. This allowed the user to use Contribute to edit and publish the file, only to immediately have the same problem. This time, however, it was owned by the user.
Forward to today, I get a call from the user. This time, I downloaded the file to my computer in DW, then deleted the file, restarted the server and then reuploaded. We're currently back to the file be owned by "Macromedia Contribute" and if I view the file info with Goliath, I can see that it has an infinite dav lock on the file. I have removed all .lck files I can find, I have restarted the server multiple times but nothing is working.
Does anyone have a solution I can attempt besides blowing out the whole Contribute set up? I can't even find where all of this webdav lock information is stored that Goliath is reading....at least from there I should be able to change the user or timout on it, but it's nowhere on my server.
